Harriet Tubman was born enslaved but died a free woman. After successfully escaping slavery she joined the Underground Railroad and became one of its most successful conductors, rescuing over 70 enslaved people. During the civil war she worked with the soldiers to free over 700 people from slavery. No one really knows how she did what she did. She was the original bad-ass and she was cool AF.
